Yes, in the choose database window. Run as administrator and changing the path to "newserver" did it, and the change sticks whether running as administrator again or not.

I recently installed a new server and named it "newserver" while I was dragging files to it from the old server. How can I extract my patient information and sync it with my outlook contacts? Is there a way to automate the process?

posting end of the day notes
Is there a way to run a report of what procedures have not had notes left or edited for them? I have entered all of my default notes in, which I realize will be posted when the procedure is made complete, but I've put XX in the notes for things that I want to make sure someone goes back and changes ...

Re: remote desktop
I found a way to speed it up a bit by minimizing and maximizing the remote desktop window, but still wish it was faster. I realize it's probably the remote desktop that's slowing it down, but just wondering what programs others are using with success. Thanks in advance.

remote desktop
I'm trying to use remote desktop to add my clinical notes from home and it is slower than hell and is essentially unusable. I have DSL both at home and at the office and I haven't been able to find any bandwidth hogs running either at home or the office. It appears to run fine until I go to the char...

user change password
I setup my employees with usernames and passwords and want them to change their passwords to something unique. Can they do that themselves or do I have to do that through the admin account?

Re: Tamperproof paper for RX
Isn't that only for medicaid patients? I just don't see any medicaid
Seriously though, I thought the term "tamperproof" was open to interpretation. A computer printout could be considered tamperproof when compared to a written prescription.

Re: RAID card
Well it may not have anything to do with open dental directly, but you never know when software and hardware won't play nice together. I plan on running RAID 5 so it is much easier to upgrade down the road. Not only that but HD space is so cheap these days (750gb 7200 SATA $150). How is RAID1 more r...

RAID card
Can someone recommend a RAID card? I'm in the process of upgrading my server before I switch my PMS over to open dental, and I want to replace the current HD with a RAID setup. I see RAID cards from $50 to $700 and I want to make sure I don't get something that has issues with open dental (if there ...

PA as part of deductible, contract year instread of calendar
How do you enter in an insurance plan that PAs count towards a patient's deductible? Also, how do you select BWs etc are counted in contract year vs calendar year? I'm sure there's a way to do it, because I know you guys run into the same insurance companies that I do, but I can't seem to figure it ...
