You mentioned earlier that the update tool would only work if you were a support subscriber. I am using a compiled version, so I assume upgrading would not help me?
If not, is there any other way to change the planned treatment (besides manually changing each one)?

Re: Problem Restoring Backup
After restoring the database, I could see all my appointments and patients. If I go to change anything, I get an unhandled exception saying that the table is read only. After I close OD and then relaunch it, after the choose database window, I get the small box that says preference is read only and ...

Re: Incorrect key file for table- Error
I am getting the "incorrect key file for table 'patient' try to repair it" message when I am trying to convert my ver 6 database to ver 7.9. It then stops the conversion. I have used database maintenance on it, but it still gets this error. When it says try to repair it, what else should I be doing ...

Re: e-claim rec file
They gave me a login and a password.
Do I still need to call in to Open Dental to get another one? Also, I am not a subscriber of your support. Would having a different login change the file extension?

Re: e-claim rec file
According to the technician at Emdeon, they said that open dental normally sends them ECF 1.3 files with the .REC extension. The test claims were not coming to them with the .REC extension for some reason. This is all beyond me so I don't really know what that means...... I simply called them up to ...

e-claim rec file
I am using an older version (6.3) of Open Dental and I was planning on switching over to WebMD. I was running some test claims with them using the preset settings for WebMD. They said they can't read the 837 claims and they need to be converted to REC files. How do I do that?
Thank you!

Re: host not allowed to connect
Actually I got the myssql accounts figured out and they are fine. What seems very strange is that sometimes when I get to the choose database screen, I can see all of the computers on my network in the dropdown box and then other times I can only see localhost. Even if I can see the other computers ...

Re: host not allowed to connect
I read the section on MySQL passwords and I downloaded Navicat and followed the instructions. In the user accounts it showed 2 accounts (not the 4 mentioned in the instructions). How do I tell if they have any passwords that have been changed? I have not intentionally changed any of them.

error message
I am getting an unhandled exception when I double click on procedures in the account module to edit them. It says:
The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT:0x8007007e).
It does this on the server and the workstations. Everything else runs fine.
Any ideas?
