Recently we have had a patient with all permanent teeth with an additional retained primary tooth. My question is, is there a way to add additional teeth to the chart? In this case the patient has primary tooth #R between #27 and #26. This is especially important with perio charting since that tooth will not show up on the chart. Please help!
Thank you!

No, there is no way to do that yet.

Any progress on this? Just had a patient with retained primary maxillary canines wedged in between #6/7 and #10/11. Would be nice to be able to chart them. My hygienist is pulling her hair out trying to figure out what to do...

Re: Additional teeth
That's when I would use the "draw " feature to create a tooth on the chart.

Re: Additional teeth
You can show these in the chart by playing with the "movements" tab. It will end up showing the teeth overlapped a little in the chart, but it's better than nothing. What you would do in your case is start with setting #6/C and #11/H as primary in the chart to make C and H visible and 6 and 11 are grayed out. Then move C and H mesially in the movements tab (and maybe even 7 and 10 a little). Then move 6 and 11 occlusally. As they move down, they will turn from gray to white in the chart and you can then do your charting. You can't do perio charting on the primary teeth in this example, but at least you can visually see all the teeth in the chart.
