Salutation in quick letters

Post by fishdrzig » Fri Dec 12, 2008 4:57 am

Any idea why the salutation in quick letters only pulls in Mr. and Mrs. and not the last name?

Did you put somthing into the salutation field in the patient edit windows? If you put "Mr" in that field, then I would expect the letter to show "Dear Mr".

So, I should enter (into the patient information screen) Mr. and (patients last name) in order for this to work properly?

Right. Whatever you put in that blank will override all other logic. If you leave it empty, then OD will attempt to piece together a nice salutation from other fields.
