Source cor standard queries

Is there a place to see the code for the queries on the report page without wading through all the source code? I am particularly interested in the payments report. New Mexico has sales tax on medical treatment but not all payments. I need only totals for PayTypes with two PayTypes combined in one and three in another. It is easier for me to adapt a query than start from scratch.

The queries are mixed in with other code. There isn't really a coherent query to extract. Just bits and pieces.
