Im install the trial version for the first time on my "server", win7 ultimate. OD installs with no issues but Mysql 5.5 gives the following error and will not install. I am running as admin.
Could not access network location \Hewlett-Packard\\.

Chat support fixed the issue.
With HP machines there is a registery setting that has to be deleted or it can block open dental / mysql from installing correctly.
The location: regedit from cmd...... hkey_local_machine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/uninstall
click on the uninstall directory and search for installlocation. you will see on the right name: installlocation type: reg_sz data: hewlett packard.
This needs to be deleted. once deleted uninstall open dental and then reinstall. everything should work correctly.
