Enabling Messaging Buttons in Tight Integration w/ eCW

We're running Open Dental in tight integration with eCW, so a lot of functions are disabled. Is it possible to enable the messaging buttons so hygienists can message the dentist when ready for an exam? Thanks!

The way the program currently works, if you're using the eCW tight integration, the messaging buttons are disabled. There is not a way to turn these on.
