Schick (CDR Dicom) Bridge

Post by ultimosoftware » Mon Aug 23, 2010 8:54 pm

I am having trouble with a system running Open Dental (OD) bridge to Schick (CDR Dicom).
Could anyone please advise if this should work on a Windows 7 64 bit OS?
We have one PC with this working, but we have not been able to successfully set this up on other systems.
The class that launches Schick fails and raises an exception (VBbridges.Schick.Launch(patID,pat.LName,pat.FName)
and shows dialog "Error Launching Schick CDR Dicom."
I am interested to know how the VBbridges.DLL calls the Schick application as this may help me identify what is not functioning correctly.
Any comments will be appreciated.

The system which has this issue is running Open Dental 5.6 and Schick CDR Dicom 4.5.

We have resolved the problem for now by running Open Dental as Administrator.

Thank you. That information has been added to the Schick page in our manual and will hopefully help other offices as well.
