Patient Preferred Name

We have noticed on various forms (statements for instance) BOTH first name and preferred name show up. Is there a way (other than not entering a preferred name) to only show one first name? I'd rather things that the patient sees that aren't official forms (like insurance forms or prescriptions) use their preferred name.

Any ideas? thanks!
