Mobile App

Post by JimZ »

Don't want to crash Jordan's servers, but has anyone tried the mobile app demo version that is in 7.8? http://www.opendental.com/manual/mobile.html
Worked well on the Droid X. Thanks!

Using the app does not tax our servers at all. What's resource intensive is the synch between the dental offices and our servers that keeps our data nearly real-time.

I don't even see where I can download version 7.8? All I see is 7.6 (which I have) and 7.7 beta.

Smiles,
From inside your program, go to Help/Check for Updates/7.8.3(beta) Released 3/7/2011/Install

I hope that helps.

You mean in the main program? The usual, but we have more programmers to jump on them quickly now. So they typically only survive for a few hours once noticed.

Well, it should have been running by now, except that we've had some other big issues come along to distract us.

Added to bug list. However, I just tested it, and the data does synchronize fine. The only thing it does wrong is to not update the time showing to the user so they can see it. It's really just a minor display issue rather than any functional issue.
