I bought a new computer to move opendental over to, and in the process I am updating to the most recent version. I was on an old version (13.1.x). I have the new version up and running on the server. When I connect a workstation over to the NEWODSERVER it prompts to update the files and then just gets stuck in a loop of choosing the database, prompting to update the files, closing, and then choosing the database again.
Any ideas? I wanted to get this done over the weekend as I don't have time to be on the phone during the week with support and have the computers down.

Re: Updating OD - Stuck in File Copier loop
We had a problem with this in the past.
On the Workstations, try going to OpenDentalImages folder, Setupfiles. Then double click on the latest version. This should install the new version on that workstation.
You sill have to do this with each workstation.

Try running the installer as Admin.
Entropy isn't what it used to be...

Log into the server machine and hit the Recopy button from the Update Setup window. Then your workstations should be able to get out of the loop.

The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
