We have had a long time issue of open dental (or maybe XDR, or maybe our wall units?) "exposing" an image prior to pushing our wall button. Here's the scenario:
Patient is seated and draped with an apron, the assistant opens the patients chart in OD, then selects XDR, creates a new visit, gets the patient set up with the sensor in their mouth, they then move the wall unit into place and then go back to the computer to select "auto-capture". In between setting the patient up and selecting auto-capture a blurry, static-looking image will appear on the screen. It has lead our assistants to believe an image is attempting to expose prior to the button on the wall being pushed. Our wall units have passed their preventative maintenance tests with a professional and the state board. Has anyone else had experience with this? Is there a way to fix it? Should our assistants be concerned they are being exposed even though the exposure button is not being pressed while in the room?
We appreciate any and all advice. Thank you!

In our experience this sounds like a prefire. Sensor is the issue. Have it checked out.
