Referrals Button?

Post by drtech »

I think we need to add a referral button to the main tool bar to be able to quickly add a referral and then the corresponding referral sheet instead of having to go find it in the family module.

I'm not so sure. I do know that the referrals need to be easier to quickly spot and click on in the Family module. The plan is to add a special grid for them, just like we are now doing for recall. But once referrals are in their own highly visible grid in the Family module, that seems good enough to me. Or maybe we can start making some of the buttons optional, and only offices that use them a lot would add them to their toolbar.

I think of referrals as more of a clinical entity that should reside in the Chart Module, especially referrals from my practice to the specialist.
I agree that a referral button right in the line with 'new rx' and 'lab case' would be nice. I have not yet upgraded to the beta version of 5.9.x where it is possible to vote.

that's a good idea, but it also needs to be in the Family module for front staff to track FROM where the patient was referred when they input a new patient.

yes, I would like to see it in the chart and family module and be able to edit from both places, if we just add both "TO" as well as "from" referrals in the chart module grid below the teeth and make it open on a double click, I think that would work too.

I would also like to see a referal button in the clinical module.
Also, I would like to see referral phone number and specialty as an output text field on the Referral Sheet.

The phone number has already been done. As for the button, go vote for it.
