Pt arrived and waiting

Hey, great addition to have the time tracking for appointments. Question:
1) How do you choose where to indicate pt has arrived, seated and gone? (I didn't see a way yet, although maybe i just missed it) We currently use confirmed statuses in our office for this and wondering if we could assign certain statuses that function of if you are thinking of something separate?

Right. You just use the existing statuses to trigger the time entries. The linking setup to statuses is done in misc setup.

Yay!!! When I switched to Appointments on OpenDental, I gave up my customized appointment book in which I tracked time arrived, seated and finished. Some of the staff thought tracking time was a waste of time (no longer here though ). That is one feature I would use a beta program for. The only thing would be to make sure the front desk persons flip the appointment status.

I just discovered this feature today and really like it. My front office is elated actually. Will there be a way to tie in the patient check in terminal with the Pt arrived feature?

That does seem like a reasonable and obvious way to implement it.
