Adding generic names to the Medications list

When I click the box Add generic, I am unable to type anything in there, but if I move up to the top box I am able to type but it duplicates it in the generic box? Is this how it is supposed to work?

Yes. The "generic" box in that window is used when you are entering brand name drugs to indicate what the generic name is.
