Should I change to Vista or Buy a Mac

Post by roybloom »

I am becoming very unhappy with XP...did you know you have to have an A floppy to install SATA drives over 137 Gigs...i do not haver one. I tried an old one and it did not work.......of course Vista lets you install the drivers from a CD. So do I go buy a Mac and which one or go buy Vista Business.

Excuse me for butting in, but..............

Why don't you just buy a new USB Sony External Floppy Drive?
It'll set you back a whopping 20 bucks.

Cheers!!!

I would suggest you avoid Vista by all means. When I first set up my machines, it had problems with my imaging software. It took me and the service people of the imaging software company numerous hours to find a fix. Now it has problems with the intra-oral camera. I have already spent three mornings with the support guy and still could not find a solution. A lot of companies including the company I work for don't swtich to Vista. No IT guys want to take the risk. We all want to wait for the next OS. You can get machines from Dell with XP pre-loaded. Those machines come with Vista CDs. You can 'upgrade" to Vista when you feel life is too boring.
