Notes on scanned docs, old forum

(1) WHere can I find all the old forum posts and search them? I ask that first because my second question may be answered there.
(2) When I scan a medical hisory, I then need to review the medical history and perhaps add some information to it such as my own notes on what the patient wrote --- and of course I know sometimes the front desk can get that info. But what I woudl like do is look at the scanned image in the images module, and be able to notate underneath the image while looking at that image. The notes avaialble in the info box don;t do it simply because each time I enter a note I need to close the box before moiving the background. I guess that is a decenmt workaround, but wondering what you are all doing about this....

First of all, move to a bigger monitor. 22" widescreen with speakers are available for $230. Or splurge for a 28" 1900?x1200 for about $650. OK, now you will have space to run two copies of OD side by side. Pull up the same patient in both copies.

It has always been planned right from the beginning to have the scanned med history show in the medical section of the program for the very reason you bring up. It will happen eventually.

2 copies of OD

I like the idea of 2 copies of OD. Is there any risk of screwing up the database by entering in two different places on the same record? Shoudl I be using different paraemters on each copy sop I know which is which, or does it not matter? SHould one be mainly for viewing and a second one for data entry?

Thanks!

It always tends to be a problem if you have the exact same window open for the exact same patient, such as the patient edit window, or one procedure edit window. The last person to click OK will be the one who has their changes saved. (except chart notes, which always perfectly record all changes). But if they are side by side, you are not going to have the exact same window open anyway. It's just not anything to worry about.

Run 2 OD on dual monitor at frontdesk. One shows the schedule orFirefox with Roboform to check eligibility on Web... and the other runs Accounting or Patient info or Chart....
Frontdesk lady loves it.
