Insurance estimate not showing up in treatment plan

I have this problem from time to time, and am wondering if it is just me, or if there is something that I or my staff are doing wrong or what.

We enter all of the percentages for the patient's insurance coverage, but occasionally, it doesn't show up in the treatment plan. For example, I am treatment planning a patient right now, and he has 80% oral surgery coverage. We have it entered into his chart that way. However, when I put extractions in his treatment plan, both routine AND surgical, it shows up in his treatment plan estimate as the insurance paying $0.

Is there a way to fix this ?

Thanks,

Mike

Update:

The reason that the patient in question is showing up as $0 for the extractions is that the program is computing the amount of insurance dollars left as though the FAMILY had an annual max of $1000, instead of the INDIVIDUAL having $1000.

However, for the patient in question, it is properly entered as $1000 per person, but for treatment plan estimating, it is coming up as $1000 per family.

How can I fix this ?

Thanks,

Mike

Did you happen to also put in a family max of $1000? It will only compute one or the other.

Thanks, Jordan. I'll check on it.
