I don't see any use of the tooth numbering when I label an intraoral picture.

When I import the image and add the tooth number I it doesn't show up in the image module next to the date unless I put it in the notes for that image. I would expect it to show next to the date without adding it to the notes so that I can easily tell what teeth are in the various pictures.

Does any other part of the program see the tooth number and utilize that information when you enter it in the tooth number data field for an (intra-oral picture) photograph?

I believe that the only place that field is currently used is to filter by tooth number when viewing images at the bottom of the chart module. So at the top of the chart, if you show selected teeth, then that field filters your images. You could submit a request to have the tooth numbers show as part of the description.
