How to change the description of a code?

How can I change the description of a code so it shows up in layman's terms so the patient can understand what we are trying to treatment plan? thanks

In the procedurecode edit window, there's a box for layman's term.

I thought that was how, but in the Procedure Edit window in v6.411, the box for description stays pink and I am unable to edit? Any suggestions? Thanks

I'm on version 6.12. It works fine here. You should not delete the original "official" description under Lists/ProcedureCodes/Procedure edit. You add the layman's term and it will show in the Progress Notes and in the Treatment Plan Module. The "official term" will still show in the Procedure Edit window when you double click on a procedure.

I guess I will need to update to 6.12. to make this work. While on this update subject, I just finished all my Auto Notes and Medications, if I do update, will I lose everything? Does anyone know? Thanks

There isn't a 6.12. You should upgrade to 6.4.13, but that won't change the way the procedure code edit window works.

Rereading your last message, I think you are in the wrong window. The Procedure CODE edit window, NOT the Procedure edit window. Did you look at the link I posted?
