Identical Insurance Plan Notes

We have offices that have over 5000 identical insurance plans and when you go into the plan screen and pick that plan and say ok the program hangs. Is it possible to have the identical plan note seperated into its own database instead of trying to update it every time you select the plan for a patient.

When exactly does is hang? It sounds like it's whenever you click OK from the edit ins plan window. Is that correct? Or is it only when assigning a new plan and then clicking ok? Obviously, slowness is unacceptable. But one problem we're going to have is that without a database to test from, we aren't going to be able to tell if any changes we make are effective. If you can answer the question above, then we can try to rewrite the slow portion and use our best guess about speed improvement.

Exactly correct, it hangs when you hit the OK. It does it whether anything changed or not. Only way out without it hanging is to cancel. We also have access to a database for testing purposes.

And do they have the checkbox at the bottom checked? Or are we talking about the less involved synch that happens with the notes even when that box is unchecked?

It would really help to have a test database. This is for a legitimate purpose, so a HIPAA form can cover the sharing of data for testing purposes.

I just tried to duplicate the slowness by combining 1300 insplans so that they're all the same. It's absolutely blazing fast. I can't get it to be even slightly slow. I think something else is going on. What version?

It occurs even if the check box is unchecked. We do have the data set now and can forward it to you. I will contact your office.
