I am sorry. I know this has been covered and I can not find it. It used to be evident where a patient was referred from ...I just can not seem to locate it.

Never mind found it under patient information...seems you have to access it after you set up the patient and go back in to family to edit. Is there a faster way?

That will let you enter the referral in the same screen. It has other disadvantages which might offset that convenience if it's just for one patient.
