Open Dental Forum

We finally got the domain opendental.com. We had to fight for it and get an arbitrator involved, but it was worth it. It will take a while to get it functional.

Seriously a hearty congrats - one does not realize how important having the 'opendental.com' is - we seemed to have gotten used to the hyphen

For some reason it really annoys me when users refer to the software as "Open Dent". Maybe that will stop now!

Alas, we cannot make opendental.com our main website because it will dilute our existing google ranking. If google ever fixes this defect in their ranking system, then we can switch. So for now it will be a supplemental page.

Congratulations on winning that battle. It's surprising to read that the respondant was a dentist and was not more ethical about giving up the domain he never used. Glad to see justice was served.

Speaking of Google. It will help to gain speed in ranking by simply "cross link" both sites. But, I'm sure you already know that.
