How do I use prompts in auto notes ?

What are they for ?

I just created an auto note for each of my most common procedures and just click the one that I want, edit the particulars, and that's it.

What are the prompts for ? How can I use them to help me use my auto notes more efficiently and effectively ?

Can I make a prompt for, say, tooth number in the middle of the auto note, then when I enter that auto note I get a pop-up or whatever that makes me enter the tooth number ? That would be way too cool, but if anyone would have thought of it already, it would be Jordan Sparks, 'cuz he's way too cool himself !!!!
