Choose Database window always appears on Windows 7 machines

Hi,
We've got 2 new Windows 7 machines in the surgeries, with OD 6.9.22 running off a separate XP Pro server over the network. Every time we open Open Dental on either of them, the Choose Database window appears, and for all we tick the "do not show this window on startup" box, it reappears next time the program is started.
Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I can't find it anywhere
