Change procedure code

Post by bruxer »

What is the best way to update a change of surfaces on a tooth? If I have my assistant enter DO from the radiograph, but I see some L decay when later doing the clinical exam, should I delete the procedure and enter it again? Shouldn't there be a faster way?

Just open the procedure and change the surfaces. When you click OK, it should ask you if you want the code and fee to be automatically changed as well.

This doesn't work for me anymore, I thought it used to. Maybe this is similar to the claim form. Could I have replaced a dll when I upgraded to the beta that could be causing this error?

Go into Main Menu, Setup, AutoCodes. Open up the autocode for composites (amalgams?), and uncheck the box at the top that starts off, "Do not check codes..." If that doesn't work, then your autocodes are messed up, and you might consider setting them to default.

That was it. My assistant now tells me she checked the "don't show this again" box last week. :-(
