I would like to try using a tablet PC for patient registration; experiment, if you will.
The key words here are "try" and "experiment".
I don't want to invest a lot of cash if this turns out to be a bust.
I've been looking on ebay and have seen a few used models in the sub $400 range. These are generally PIIIs with 512 RAM max. Does anyone have any recommendation for a decent tablet PC, manageable weight that is a few years old.

yes good decision. i am using the hp tx1301au model and od works extremly good in it. especially making the treatment plan and taking the signature of the patient.
