I'm not sure if I am blind and just missing it, but I am trying to find a data element to add to my account letters. I am just transferring over the letters I had used in Dentrix and updating them to Open Dental. The one Dentrix data element that I cannot find in Open Dental is the date of the last visit. Is it there? Am I just missing it?

Patient letters that are sheets tend to have more fields available than merge letters. In sheets, it's inside the static text field. It's called DateTimeLastAppt. For letter merge, see request #2164.

Thanks for the reply. I keep forgetting about the Sheets feature. Definitely easier. Two more questions:

1. Is there a field that will just show the date of the last appointment, and not the time as well (I know we are all type A personalities... but I don't want to broadcast it).
2. Is there a way to change the way the date is formatted? Instead of the 16/11/2011, can I make it show as 16 November 2011?

Yeah, I was noticing there was no field for just date. I have added that to request #2165.
