Automatically selecting OD Host

I though I had seen an article that demonstrated how to configure the OD shortcut on the workstations to select the correct OD host? If so, can we also specify the correct database?
I've been thinking about creating a script to automatically install OD

Yes, this lets you specify the database as well.
