I have recently switched to Open Dental. I am trying to find the pros and cons of Payconnect and Excharge.
From previous posts, it looks like Excharge(x-charge) has better integration with Open Dental. Also Payconnect was trying to integrate with Open Dental (no updates about this). Will appreciate if someone could share their experience with respect to ease of use.

This is a great question. Does anyone have experiences to share? The Payconnect people are super friendly (same as ClaimConnect) but does Xcharge have a technological edge within the Open Dental framework?

With Payconnect, you can use the same company as for e-claims. They have a web interface for managing things like recurring charges. With Xcharge, you can do recurring charges from within Open Dental because we can store CCs using tokens. They both work fine, and it depends on your needs. Most offices don't need recurring charges.
