I am one of the Practice Works users thinking of switching to Open Dental. I am opening this topic for those who are interested in converting to Open Dental. One of the frustrations that we have in the office is the inability of Practice Works to open the chart or write notes while some one else is in the chart.

Are there any Practice Works users already converted to Open Dental? What are the planning items? What are the replacement for Medical Dental History update that prints out when patient check in? Is it better to do a conversion of all patient data to Open Dental or only add the future patients and appt in Open Dental?

does not yet have a trigger for checkin or an action for printing medical history. So you would have to print in manually for now. It would prefill.
