In my old PW software, our route slips had premed, medical alert, and a list of codes that one could circle to give to the front desk when inputing treatment. Can one customize the route slip in Open Dental?

You can customize the routing slip under Setup|Sheets. Highlight the Routing Slip on the left side under Internal then use the button at the bottom that says Copy to move it to the Custom side. Once it is in the custom section you can double click to edit.

Is there a way to customize routing slips so that a different custom sheet prints depending on what procedures are scheduled for that appointment visit?

For example, if in the scheduled procedures it detects a prophy, it could print a routing slip that had field customized more geared toward prophy visits...

There is not a way that I am aware of.

Request #3724 is similar but related to appointments. You could vote towards that one if it tickles your fancy or start a completely new feature request.
