Using od and twain driver (not sure if its installed right) on kodak rvg5100
When i go to images, and click on the teeth or the xrayh photo, i am prompted with select source, and nothing shows up. I think im meant to be able to select the twain driver here?
Do i need to point od at a twain driver, or do anything else? or does od find twain properly, and i need to reinstall twain?

Correct, you should be able to select your rvg5100 from that select source dialog when it pops up. Not only do you have to have the twain driver installed correctly, but you also need to make sure that you don't have several twain drivers installed which are conflicting with one another. We can hopefully punch out both problems in one swing.
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\
2. Rename the "twain_32" folder to "twain_32old" (This will make sure there are no conflicts)
3. Create a new, empty twain_32 folder in it's place.
4. Either try to install your twain driver again OR you can download and install a generic twain driver (which we usually do for customers in troubleshooting).
4.1 (Generic step) You can go to this site and follow the directions at the very bottom. No need to purchase anything, just click the download file link and follow the instructions following the download link.

Or there's always the option of calling in and having one of our techs install the generic driver for you. Oh the joys of good support techs.

shall try this out.
So, does that download you gave me allow for everything, from kodak xrays to my nex 5 camera, to anything else?
Seems strange that one single download would interface with everything else!

It hasn't failed me yet on a twain compatible device. I love the idea of having a standard that works across the board. More things in life should be like twain. Especially claims

Have tried both ideas, i can get the Video Datasourse 1.6 to show up in the select source, but when i click on it, i get a ... is off line or not responding. Then, "the image could not be acquired from the scanner. Please check to see if its connected properly
The
When i plug the sensor in, it looks for a driver, then doesnt find one
I can put the kodak software in, then the sensors work, but od still cant find them on twain

It might not be twain compatible. The other type of driver I'm used to seeing is a WIA driver. However I do not know of a generic one like I do with twain, but maybe there is information of the sort on the manufactures website.
