Monitor Resolution

Post by sandi »

One big frustration is not being able to view the entire days schedule on one screen, even with the windows taskbar on the lower hiddeb when Ive 5 minute appointments. If I bought a 27inch 2560x1440 resolution would that solve the problem? Does this mean that its 40% bigger vertically than my current 1280x 1024. Im only missing about 1.5 hours of the days schedule vertically at the moment.

or switch to 10 minute appt blocks and you will fit everything on a much smaller screen I think. (That's what we use and it fits on most monitors)

I have a 28 inch monitor and I can see 7.5 total hours when my appointment view is set to 5 minute increments.
You might want to set up another appointment view and try 10 minute increments. Then you can flip between the two quickly with the F keys and look at appointments to come.
The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.

What resolution is you monitor thats 28inches? I didnt think you could have several views one with 5 minute and one with 10? I thought it was one or the other. Yes I just checked it and you cant have different appointment time views its one or the other and its set for them all unless Im missing something? Ive 6.5 hours on my 1024 monitor, I was thinking if I got a greater resolution surely Id be able to see all 8.5 hours?

10 minute blocks dont work for us here at all. We run single surgeries(traditional in the British Isles) so you cant just have an extra 5 minutes free for seating/assistant time if you know what I mean.

I apologize, I was going from memory (haven't played with views in a while) and you're right, you can't have unique time increments per appt view. I was thinking about the Rows Per Time Increment setting.
My resolution is 1920 x 1200.

So on a 1440 vertical res my whole day should be visible. Thats good news. Yes it would be great if it was scaleable.

I have 10min increments on a 1920*1080 monitor.... I can see 7am-8:10pm. I do wish you could set the default start view time... we start at 7am today and it defaults to 8. not a big deal since its only when you first open, and only 1 day a week.

ooops sorry just saw you needed 5 min. only 7AM-1:40PM in 5min view with a 1080 monitor. 957 of the 1080 pixels are for the schedule. thats 123 for taskbars and title bars. a 1440 should give you 1317ish pixels... so 360 more pixels, that 37.6% more schedule. if I can see 6.5 hours, you could see close to 9
