NEW THREAD!
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=5225
If you are going to buy an Intra-Oral Camera.. take it from me.. 960 is an auto focus.. 830UF is a manual focus. 960 is new.. and is.. well.. I screamed at them to make a camera like this last June.. Here it is.
They are better then the 740's and the 930's.. they both have Empia 2860's chips... That is GOOD. That means they can work without capture button software in many different software.. If not.. Give me a shout.. or a pm.. or.. something.. I can make them work with anything.. I have made my own capture button utility, and you may not even need it. It really depends on your Imaging Software.
These cameras also come with DRIVERS.. and TWAIN.. if you REALLY want it. I don't recommend twain... But some of you prefer it..
Take for example a DexCam 3 driver. These cameras will be detected as DexCam's if you have installed them DexCam drivers during the dexis installation. (I am sure you did).. But they only do freeze not capture with the Dexis Driver.. So.. you will have to use Either the driver on the CD.. which won't work..
I plan on posting everything and standing back and just seeing what in the hell happens. I currently do NOT have either camera in my possession.. I have just set them up over the net. Lot of people really like the MD-960U. I do. I like it WAY more then the 930U.. 930/740 had the 2580 Chipset.. Which I can still make work.. but I prefer the 2860's.. Always have... I like the old school Analog's like the CompuCam, Gendex Accucam, etc. Check out ezcap.tv to use that with your Imaging Software for old cameras. They use Empia Chips. Get a foot pedal, and use the Empia BDA or WDM Driver, or the drivers in my button folder. My Capture Button Software also uses AutoHotKey and you can use that to create keyboard events from your footpedal to capture in programs like KDI. Or check out the Image Master, Claris i4D, or DigiDoc. All nice cams.
CAPTURE BUTTON PROGRAM (BETA!) NEW! MAKES ALL CAMERAS BELOW INTO A JOYSTICK BUTTON! JOYSTICK BUTTON CAN THEN BECOME KEYBOARD KEYSTROKES! CAN BE HIGHLY CUSTOMIZED.
WARNING, DRAGONS AHEAD! (740,930,960,830 Magenta Cameras) 2011 OR NEWER! VID OF THE CAMERA IS EB1A. You can use USBDeview.exe in C:\Button to be sure.
By installing this program you agree that you only have yourself to blame for any damages.
I won't be responsible if your camera or computer breaks, needs doctoring, catches fire, skins adorable puppies and kittens, BBQs your "crown jewels", eats your children, starts WW3, explodes or commits seppuku! By guessing the password and installing the program, you take full responsibility for any damages this program may cause to your life, practice, patients, computers, and dental office. Neither Onsite Dental Systems, or Justin Shafer can be held liable. This was your decision.

*Windows needs to be installed at C:\Windows
*2011 and newer cameras. You can run USBDeview in C:\Button to be sure you Camera's VID starts with EB1A. Click on it from the System Tray.
*Windows 8 is not working that great yet. USBDeview cannot execute the start scripts when a usb device is plugged in. Drivers need to be dealt with. For both EM28XX and EM25XX. Not planning on supporting this for awhile. See how donations go.
