Enforced Scheduling - Feature Request #3019

I set up a schedule and I would like to limit my appointments to that schedule. My staff keeps putting patients onto the schedule at the end of the day without checking with me first.
Is there anyway to lock the appt schedule so appts can only be made within the schedule? If not, it should be a feature request.

There is no way to lock those appointments at this time.
I checked the feature requests and couldn't find one for "enforced scheduling", however I imagine it would be a popular request if it were submitted. I'd highly recommend you do submit the request and use the forum to generate some interest and to get those votes.

Arna,
I submitted a Feature Request for Enforced Scheduling. It is #3019.
I hope others will vote for it too.
While we are on the topic of feature requests, I'd like to plug Request #1828 - If a procedure signature is "Invalid", that should be indicated in the Chart Module. Currently it says "Signed" whether the signature is valid or not, and there is no way to know without opening every procedure note.

I'm starting to understand why my foreign friends can't stand learning English.

Welcome to my life.
I have to know two different dialects of English...
I'm at a point in my Americanization that I cannot tell which words are American and which are Aussie anymore and that is most confusing!
**Sorry to get off topic**
Thanks for submitting that Feature Request. I am excited to see that one come to life, as it is a common issue. I am a little surprised it wasn't already there.

The scheduling software I used before OD was written by me and had enforced scheduling features. It became a point of pride for the receptionists to work around them. Then it was suggested that violating the scheduling rules would cause them to donate $5 per violation to the staff meeting lunch fund. Problem solved.
