How to create a plugin for Clickatell SMS service?

Hello, in order to get text messages, I have to create a plugin for the international SMS gateway ClickaTell. How do I go about doing that?
In short, all you need to do is learn to program C# (for Open Dental's portion), learn how ClickaTell's API works (if they have one), and then request a plugin / hook within Open Dental when you're ready to add the UI to Open Dental's side that will communicate with ClickaTell to send off your message.
