Where exactly do I put this 500x300 jpg image on the workstations?

To use your own .jpg file as a splash screen when Open Dental is launched, simply place the .jpg file in the Open Dental installation folder.
This file will then be used instead of the Open Dental splash screen. Recommended image size: 500 x 300 px.
The default installation path is C:\Program Files\Open Dental

I saw that. Does the file have to have a certain name? I'm looking in this folder now and I don't see any jpgs there.

Yes it needs to be called splash.jpg. There isn't one in the file by default, but the file you put in will override the default.
