Does anyone use the company ControlScan for PCI compliance?
They were recommended by the company that I swipe credit cards with and I have been doing my quarterly scans with them so I can stay in compliance. I am just sure I understand the need for their services. Could someone explain please. I presently use Open Dental for my PM software and Xcharge

We have PCI compliance through our CC processor also but it is a different company. The best I've figured out is that if you are taken to court, you have procedures in place to not get you in trouble and you can show how you review and do those things. I think it's also something that possibly limits liability for the processor but these are just my guesses.

I am using Control Scan. Came to them via Intuit QuickBooks.
Just went through the 250 question questionnaire and their security scan. They found a problem in my router setup/firewall that had to be fixed. Paying $100/yr through my Intuit Merchant account.
