if the *** checker returns a no error message, how else can you go about fixing this?

The previous instructions were incorrect.

If you ever get a message that a table is marked as crashed and needs to be repaired, please call Open Dental support immediately. Your database is corrupted.

We managed to recover from a saved OD backup.

This is the first time we had this error in almost 6 years. What can be the possible causes?

thanks

Update - we got hit by locky ransomeware. I did not know it targets our mysql files as well

Hi, you are right is via locky ransomware. We hv done a check and found that it could be thru email's attachement opened. Do not open any email's attachement which are unfamiliar.

Yes the locker type viruses are definitely gained through opening email attachments. Don't open them if you can help it. Or open them on a computer not connected to the rest of the network.
