I have a new front desk person. Until I gain some trust I need to make sure my procedures for billing and such are locked down so I know that I am getting everything billed an inputed correctly.

If you remove the ability to create an adjustment, will that also mess up the users ability to input insurance adjustments?

How can I be sure that no adjustments are being made in the past to hide payments being made today?

on my other dental software, we had the option to "close the day" at the end of each day. (SIMILAR to the way we do it now in OD TO do the daily deposit)
that would balance the account receivables, production, etc....
So, in the daily sheet/report, if someone posted a transaction in the past, there was an additional column, called " in the past"
this is where it posted that date, only if it was before the "day was closed"
and the software, would not allow to post an adjustment in the future

So when you print your daily report, you see that an adjustment was made for a patient, and there is a date in that column, and you can always go and check who did it

I hope OPEN DENTAL can ad this feature to the daily report
