We have six year old large box desktop workstations in our operatories and would like to replace them with small footprint boxes. Any recommendations?
Thx,
Gene

There are many new small form factor pcs that should work very well. My personal opinion is to make sure to find something that runs a newer version of windows, my preference is Windows 10. Looking for a "bare-bones" or "mini-pc" should give you plenty of ideas to sort through. More personal preferences are 4 GB+ of ram, and maybe a core i5 or i7 processor, and an SSD if you really want your program to scream. Again these are just my personal preferences official requirements can be found

One consideration - do you need to feed two monitors or have multiple usb outlets? For this reason, I equip our office with off- lease Dell Optiplexes which I purchase on ebay. A Dell 960 sff Optiplex with approprite hd and memory runs less than $150. For the price of a new computer, I can purchase several of these and pre-configure them; then, if there are any failures, I can merely swap them out.
The client computers are trivial - however, my server is a new (1 yr old) encrypted drive Dell. No skimping allowed there.
