Fingerprint readers with OD

Does OD work with fingerprint readers?
if so, any particular feature to look for?

Currently there are no built-in fingerprint reading features in Open Dental.
There are requests to make biometric signatures, time clock fraud prevention, and fingerprint logons a reality. #1190, #282, #4806

We've been toying with the idea of either doing some kind of biometric or a SIM card type of idea for logging on / Domain session states (as in walking away from your computer to another workstation and putting the SIM card in a slot and continuing right where you left off on the other workstation seamlessly). If only there were more hours in the day...
