Hello,

I've heard through DentalTown about people having problems with their computer moving really slow when loading up PDF files (via Open Dental) after a recent Adobe Acrobate update.

Has anyone identified a fix for this?

Thanks,

Danish Qadri, DMD

Randomly, I do get an error message from Open Dental:

Adobe PDF Document
There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
If it is running, please exit and try again (523:523)

Works for me?

That link doesn't work for me. Making adobe work in protected mode.... It seems to not care about trusted locations as well, and since 10.1 they are recursive.

Adobe is starting to kinda.. suck.

Adobe is a socially acceptable virus. Long after civilization has fallen, rogue computers will still be asking for Adobe updates.

Justin, you just saved me from days of frustration with Acrobat Reader! Thank you very much. Every time I would try to close a pdf scan after doing an EOB it would freeze for about 15 secs. It was really slowing us down and not it is back to normal.
