Searching Mobile App

Searching for a patient in the mobile app only works if you enter the name in all lower case. If you capitalize the first letter of the name it doesn't work. Why?

Having just done some testing on Mobile Web, this issue doesn't seem to be happening for me. I am able to search patients using upper or lowercase letters (and any random combination in between). What version of Open Dental are you running? Are you using Mobile Web, or Mobile Sync?

This was a bug that was fixed in Open Dental version 15.3.50. I would recommend updating to the latest stable version to receive this update. There are couple of things to check before updating to 16.3 (latest stable) however:
  • *Make sure that no computers are running Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP. Open Dental will no longer run on this operating system once you've updated.
    *Make sure that .NET 4.5 is installed on all of your workstations. This is required in order to use v16.3+.
