Install Base and Practice/Location Identifier

Context: We're working on syncing select data from OD into a cloud hosted (multi-tenant) database.
Question #1: What is Open Dental's current install base? What kind of growth has it seen (e.g. net install base per year)? We'd like to use this to get a feel for table space sizing and growth.
Question #2: Is there a way to identify a given Dental Practice/install uniquely? What's a good way to separate these data from multiple OD database instances?
