Dr. Old and Dr. Young

Question posed to me last week.
Dr. Old is selling his practice, patient charts, to Dr. Young. Both are Using OpenDental. The same version or very close to the same version I think.
Is there any way to import the patients of Dr. Old on a patient by patient basis?
I said,' No'. It would have to be a complete merge of one practice into the other. Is this correct?

As far as I know, there is no tool or functionality that would allow for doing it yourself.

You are correct, there is no patient by patient solution. They would need to do the entire database merge like you suggested.
