Good Afternoon
I am looking to find someone who is using voice perio charting.
What headsets do you find that are working the best for you
Thank you so much
Ann

We have used voice perio charting in Dentrix with Logitech wireless headsets for several years with good success. We recenly converted to OD and my hygienists are complaining that it is so s l o w to be practically unusable, particularly with any measurements 4 or higher. We spoke to OD support and they claim it is a Windows issue (we are still on 7, if that matters). I really don't understand how it could be a windows issue if it worked fine in Dentrix. They told me to speak to my IT people and wouldn't take it any further. So far, my IT people agree with me, but are willing to look into it further (at $XXX/hr + trip charges).
So, I'm pretty frustrated about this right now. Would also be curious aa to other's experience.

You could try turning off feedback and see if that improves the speed. When you open the perio chart and click the mic, say the command "stop giving feedback". More commands can be found at

OK, one of my hygienists tried that. She said it was only marginally faster, but was introducing errors: for example, she called off 4 and it placed 14 in the chart. With no feedback, could be a mess.
Still looking for other answers.

I would submit a feature request to improve the speed of voice perio charting.
