"Unhandled exception has occured in your application"

Hi all,

I am running OD Dental (been for 5 years), running a windows server and 5 computers. Cant log on to open dental now.

We had a very windy day today in NY and we lost power about 5 times today during my workday (and we never lose power).
When the computers shut down, we got the following message, on each computer.

"Unhandled exception has occurred in our application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the applicaiton will close immediately."
Table \opendentalsecurityloghash' is marked as crashed and should be repaired.

My receptionist called OD today and wanted access to the server. Dummy me, my IT person retired a few years ago, (havent had an issue), and we cant find the server password to run as an administrator. We tried to log on as a guest...do remote access with open dental, but again needed access as an administrator.

Im in a bit of a pickle. Can i correct this issue through one of my workstations? How easy is it to reset a password as an administrator? I think im screwed in that department.

Thanks for any help you can give.
Mike

Try this.

Log on to your server as a regular user. Then go to the folder called Opendentimages\Updatefiles\Databaseintregitycheck.exe

Click on that exe file and let it run as is. No changes to that screen.

Thank you so much for the reply!
I just ran to the office and tried it .
It says "unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.". And then I'm only allowed to hit OK.
Ant thoughts?
Thanks!
Mike

You might try stopping and starting mysql service,
On your server,
R click on Home
Select Computer Management
Select Services and Applications
Select Services
Scroll down to mysql service
Then stop and restart the mysql service

Or a server reboot might get it going

Then try the databaseintegrity fix.

For some reason the connection between your workstations and your server has been broken.
