I use other software to edit clinical photos, and as of yet have been simply organizing the photos within the Windows filesystem. For example:

Smith.John/2022.02.20/photo1.jpg
Smith.John/2022.02.20/photo2.jpg

Smith.John/2022.02.27/photo1.jpg
Smith.John/2022.02.27/photo2.jpg

I was hoping to drop these dated folders into the A to Z folder specific to said patient for simplicity, especially when it comes to backup. However, it does not appear Open Dental allows importing folders into the Imaging module. So I won't be able to see these photos in Open Dental.

Am I missing something? Is there an alternative?

Hello borreliaburg, we do not have functionality to read items within sub-folders of the A to Z folder. The best option to my knowledge would be to remove the sub-folders and re-name the images to include the information you'd like to include on import. You are also more than welcome to submit a feature request if it does not exist already.
